Description

A call out went out in September 2020 about 8 months into covid asking artists to respond to the Small Stuff in a Big World project by making art in on or out of a matchbox.

Matchbox artworks were sent to Brisbane Queensland Australia for a one-week pop-up exhibition, photographed and uploaded to Instagram / Art Stuff Art Platform for permanent display.

In a world of lockdowns, mind-bending realities, diminishing options, and social isolation matchbox scale art that could be packaged and mailed seemed to be a viable strategy for creating and connecting.

Many thanks to the artists who created beautiful, evocative, and whimsical works for a strange time in space.
